Are You Ever Thankful For Anything?

I am thankful for so many things this year, but here are the top four things. I am first thankful for my family and my two pets. My family is so loving, caring and gives me the love and support I need every day. They help me through every little thing in life. I love them so much and I’m grateful to have such a great family. They come to my water polo games and like watching me play sports. They help me with school and they help me with anything I need. My Family is always there for me! My pets give me so much love too! My second thing I am thankful for is my friends. Every day my friends are able to support me and make me laugh and brighten up my day. I’m thankful that I have friends to hang out with, travel with, and spend time with. I love spending time with my friends. I am also thankful for the food I am given. I am very happy that I am able to eat  breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Without food, I would not be living. The last thing I am thankful for is my health. I’m so lucky that I am healthy and happy. I’m able to play sports, go to school, and live a great life because I am healthy. So many kids my age are not healthy. They can’t live a normal life like me. That makes me sad. I’m grateful for my health! There are a lot more things I am thankful for, like my bed and my own room, but these are just a few of them! Happy Thanksgiving!

The Genie Just Granted me 3 Wishes!

If a Genie granted me 3 wishes I would use them to first ask the genie for unlimited money. I would use the unlimited money for buying my own house right on the beach that is a few steps from the Hawaii clear blue ocean. It would be a modern mansion beach house, would have so many activities like a volleyball court, a pool, tennis court, and much more! Next I would buy my dream car which would be a corvette. I would also buy many more vuliculkes. Lastly I would spend it on a whole new wardrobe and my family, My Second wish would be unlimited years to live. I would love for this to happen! I would love seeing people and the world grow as many years to come! My last and final wish would be unlimited Disneyland passes. I would love to see the Disney rides and to go with friends and family to enjoy the rides together. I would also love to get the unlimited passes so I can fill up my stomach with many treats such as candy, pretzels, churros and Caramel apples! I hope I will be able to see the genie tomorrow to get all my three wishes!

Rad Reading-October

Rad Reading- (October)

Restart

By:Gordon Korman

This month I read Restart by Gordon Korman. This story is about a young 13 year old boy named Chase Ambrose. Chase struggles with who he was and realizes that he doesn’t want to be that guy anymore. Early in the book, Chase and his brother are on the roof of their house and Chase stumbles off of the roof and lands right on his head. His brother is shocked and runs and gets their mom. Chase, his brother and his mom all drive quickly to the hospital. Later on in life, Chase wakes up from a 13 year coma and has to “restart” his life. He does not know what happened to him nor does he know anything about his peers around him. While going to school Chase Ambros has to start his 13 years all over again. At this point, everyone knows about Chase and his fall, everyone is scared of him. People start to understand who he is and how he lost all his memory. Chase begins to make good decisions and better friends that he can rely on to start his new life. After being with his friends for quite some time, he starts to relearn his life but, one step at a time. A big part of his learning was making the biggest mistake in his career. This incident all started in the band room with his old friends and chase being called up to the principal, Mr. Solway. He got sent up to the office for stealing the Mr. Solway medal. Chase tries to give it back without his old Friends knowing but, after successfully returning the medal he gets sent to court. Now Chase has the chance to start fresh. But, will Chase be able to change, or will he fall back to his old ways?

This is one of my favorite books I have read this month! I recommend you reading this book if you love to see how people change over time and become a better person. This book is easy to read and understand. It makes you want to cry, have the best time of your life, and make good decisions after a bad day. Everyone needs to restart at some time in their life. If you’re interested in a life restart, grab this book and have the swooning time of your life!

My favorite character in this book is Chase Ambrose. Two character traits I would give him would be foolish, in the beginning of the story and towards the end he starts to become brilliant. He awakes from a coma and finds that he is unable to recall anything from his life. He had suffered a brain injury from hitting his head. Chase faces ongoing conflicts and realizes stuff that would never have been found out if it wasn’t for the coma. He has figured out that he was not a very good person, nor did he make good choices like choosing good friends. In his new life, he develops better relationships that are built on empathy and kindness. I can relate to chase because I have some rough days where I don’t make good choices but I go on to the next day with a “restart” starting fresh and making new and better choices. I believe you have to make mistakes and fail in order to learn and succeed. This is what Chase did. If you don’t learn from your mistakes, you won’t become a better person.

My favorite quote in Restart by Gordon Korman is, “ This is an awful thing that’s happened to you, but it’s also presenting you with a rare opportunity. You have the chance to rebuild yourself from the ground up, to make a completely fresh start.” This is one of my favorite quotes because I truly believe that everyone needs a new beginning and deserves a second chance. If you need a fresh, new beginning because you did not start out well you should always have that chance. There are way more lessons and quotes in this book but, this is one of my favorites!
